For the past 35 years I have worked as a copywriter/editor/proofreader for major Japanese companies including Ricoh, Nikon, and Suzuki Motors. I have worked on PR materials such as Annual/Sustainability Reports, corporate and product brochures, corporate newsletters and press releases, and I have created print and video advertisements as well as corporate and product videos.

I can work from a translation and turn it into a smooth and persuasive English text that effectively gets the message across, or I can start with raw data and write a completely original English text that does the same. I am used to working under pressure to meet deadlines and I work carefully with clients to create the message that they wish to get across.

I have written two city guides for Tokyo (Thomas Cook and Compass Maps) and a Japanese-English Phrase Guide (Thomas Cook). I have also published two novels—thrillers set in Tokyo—and I am working on the third in this series.
