We currently have an English based support team but we would like to provide a better user experience for our Japanese users by recruiting the help of a Japanese team member. The volume of current Japanese enquiry is small but growing in anticipation of our efforts in the market, so this will be an ongoing project, starting off on a prioritized but adhoc basis.

Criteria for Hiring

You will be:
1)Pre-reading / understanding of our marketing collaterals and knowledge base in English
2)Proof-reading our Japanese collaterals and knowledge base
3)Replying to user questions through our customer chat portal
4)Translating our support team's questions/diagnosis/solutions from English to Japanese to reply to user issues
5)in some cases, speak to users on the phone to support their remote
6)Assist in the testing of product returns, store and shipment arrangement back to HQ

This job requires:
- excellent English and Japanese language skills (written and spoken)
- a positive and ‘can do’ attitude
- an interest in smart home products
- attention to details, excellent communication and great time management
- a regular and good internet connection
- to be regularly available and connected (job requires to be available 5 days a week in Hong Kong Timezone) in English
- flexibility to take on this role on a freelance basis, billing by hour and keeping track of the time spent on the project.
- to prioritize our enquiries for translation or user response within 12 hours of our notification (understand that it will be hard to monitor our platform all the time, so our team will notify you if your assistance is required)
