Hello, my name is Daniel Green and I am a chartered mechanical engineer from the UK.

My translation experience includes technical and non-technical documents English ↔ Japanese, as well as interpretation in meetings/video conferences.

I started learning Japanese in 2007.

In 2013 I moved to Japan. I got my first engineering job, at an automotive supplier in Yokohama. I used Japanese as my main language in this role with both customers and colleagues. This was when I started doing translation, as part of my work.

in 2016 I moved back to the UK. I worked for a Japanese company for 5 years as a design engineer. In this role I did a lot of interpretation work between English and Japanese speaking engineers.

I can also offer engineering support, 3D CAD modelling and programming (Python, VBA, AHK etc.).

In 2021, I moved back to Japan to find my next challenge.
