Business English Teacher and Proofreader

2015/01～

Since 2015, I have been teaching Business English to students working for international companies in Kassel, Germany and proofreading academic texts for students and employees of the University of Kassel, Germany. I have been employed by Finer English, KERN Kassel, KERN Frankfurt, and as an individual language consultant. I have designed and delivered individual and group lessons to students in companies such as K+S, Hübner International, Rheinmetall, and SME. Lessons have encompassed a range of skill-building activities in the four areas of language learning (speaking, writing, reading, and listening).

Key Achievements
· Supported students from A2 to C1 English to prepare for secondment to countries such as Malaysia and Canada
· Taught lessons on presentation development for business, business email writing, negotiation, and business etiquette
· Taught intensive (8 hours per day) courses to students with urgent need for business deployment
· Evaluated students via regular reports
· Contributed constructive feedback to programme structure
· Proofreading and copy-editing of texts for researchers based at the Witzenhausen campus of the University of Kassel, Germany

Max Planck Institute for European Legal History

Reporting to the Director of the Institute, I was responsible for all academic and administrative areas for my individual project, as well as providing support to the editorial department. I was expected to present at international conferences and to publish my works in leading international journals.

As a researcher and doctoral student, I was responsible for securing funding to support my individual research project and other collaborative projects which I developed. In addition, I was expected to contribute to the research environment through conference participation, teaching and event organisation.
