Freelance Writer

I have been a commercial writer since 2015 as a freelancer. From 2015 to 2016, my means of receiving clients and jobs was from a group of freelancers. I put this career on hold in 2017, then continue working freelance from 2018 onward, albeit independently.

A very large and diverse amount of clients has worked with me over the years. Each of them request different kinds of writings, ranging from blog writing, website copywritings, advertorial, product review, product description, to translating articles from English to Indonesia (and vice versa). The topics are also diverse, such as lifestyle, gaming, J-pop, PC/Laptop/Smartphone, automotive, DIY, nature, health, tips & tricks, and client-specific topics.

My job as a freelance writer always demands me to be capable of writing up to 3,000 words daily. Back in 2015, I was capable of accomplishing such feat and maintain it for 3 months until college duties forced me to take a break, and then I was on the process of working as an employee the following months. Today, I can still manage to write up to 3,000 words in a day, including revisions from clients.

Of course, all of those articles are implemented with SEO keywords. This knowledge of using specific keywords in an article to generate traffic and engagement was new to me, introduced by my fellow writers. While clients give me the specific keywords most of the times, there are several moments when they asked me to find the most fitting keywords for them. In this case, I tend to use Google Trending as a free SEO tool to find the right keyword based on their article topic.
