RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

I am currently teaching creative writing to teenagers and young adults and I also teach English to Chinese children. I make use of creative and exciting teaching methods to keep my classes interesting and productive. I've had huge success in inspiring my students with authentic teaching materials and assisting them in exploring their own creativity.

As an editor I worked with journalism interns and young journalists, assisting them in applying theories they have been taught academically. I found guiding them very rewarding.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS

I have travelled extensively in my life, both as a journalist but also for the wonderful experiences. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

I love art and music and wrote, produced and directed three plays. All three my plays were performed at art festivals and small theatres in South Africa.

I enjoy nature and love hiking. I garden and have an extensive knowledge of South African indigenous flora.
