NHK World Japan
Program Monitor

To monitor how viewers are satisfied with each program, NHK Programming Department annually takes a public opinion survey on regular programs broadcast by NHK (General TV channel), Nippon Television Network Corporation (NTV), Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS), Fuji Television Network, TV Asahi Corporation and TV Tokyo Corporation to study viewing frequency, visibility, and impression of each program as well as reasons for watching or not watching the program.
In principle, NHK WORLD TV Program Monitors are requested to watch and submit evaluations of six NHK WORLD TV programs per calendar month. A list of programs will be provided by NHK in due course, and the programs that each Monitor watches must be chosen from this list. After watching each program, the Monitor must evaluate it by completing the Monitoring Form.
