Currently, I am doing a second master’s program in Innovation Management and am interning at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Innovation as I am part of the Unity in Charge of European Programs that is managing the European Program “Horizon 2020”. My contribution to the work of the team comes in many areas such as writing minutes and articles, organizing events, contributing to the annual report, conceptualizing worksheets and action plans and suggesting graphic designs for the marketing material of H2020 Tunisia.

Mercy Corps Tunisia

Data collection intern

I managed to update and improve excel databases and to process data from interviews and surveys, in my internship at Mercy Corps Tunisia, where I was part of a project entitled Youth Empowerment for Success aiming to coach and train Tunisian youngsters and help them develop their soft skills in order to have a better professional integration. In this organization, I also operated in many of the languages that I speak (Arabic, French, English and Spanish).

Tunisair

Risk Management intern

During my master’s program in risk management, I chose Tunisair (Tunisian Airline) to work on my master’s project. This drastic change of sector highlights the transversal aspect of my studies and skills. During this experience, I realized an aviation security risk study and elaborated an action plan to diminish the impact of these risks and to prevent others from occurring. In addition to that, as I worked under stressful circumstances I improved my ability to focus, manage time and deliver a consistent work, whatever the conditions.

Experimental research intern

I conducted a research on mycoplasmas and their resistance to antibiotics. Along with the level of autonomy I gained with experimentations, I enhanced my skills in scientific writing, work organization and data analysis.

I got to have a first look at the practical and experimental side of my bachelor’s program in biotechnology, particularly, DNA extraction, gene amplification techniques, the use of bioinformatics and research on scientific platforms.
