Illustration & Writing
"Haku The Cat: Learning How to Handle Little Big Feelings (Volume 1)" is a book I wrote and illustrated with so much love and purpose. It’s available on Amazon, and I created it to help kids understand and manage their emotions in a simple, fun, and relatable way.
As an artist and someone who deeply cares about children's mental health, I wanted to make something that would teach kids how to recognize and express their feelings—whether it’s happiness, frustration, sadness, or excitement. Haku, my adorable and curious cat, became the perfect character to bring this lesson to life!
I illustrated the entire book using Procreate, carefully crafting each scene to be warm, inviting, and easy for kids to connect with. I played with soft textures, expressive characters, and a mix of bright and pastel colors to capture emotions in a way that feels natural and engaging. Every page was thoughtfully designed to make learning about feelings a fun experience!
This book isn’t just a story—it’s a tool for parents, teachers, and little ones to navigate emotions together. I truly hope it brings comfort, joy, and understanding to every child who reads it.
