I hold a first class honours BA (specialisation: politics, Russian language, Russian culture) from University College London. I am fluent in English and am competent in Russian, Japanese, Mandarin, and French, and have experience translating all four languages into English.

I have been volunteering with Kiva Microfunds for close to two years, translating loan profiles from Russian-English, and I previously helped to translate Japanese new media and pop culture content into English for fans.

I have worked as an ESL teacher, editor, proofreader, travel blogger, writer, and copyeditor. My current day job is an editor at a publishing firm, working with manuscripts across a wide variety of genres, from children's books to literary fiction and non-fiction. I possess a can-do attitude, and eagerly and readily pick up new skills.
