I was born in Japan and later immigrated to the United States. I worked as a special effects technician in Hollywood for 13 years before I pursued a Bachelor degree in Linguistics with a minor in English. I am a native speaker of Japanese and I speak English fluently.
For the past 15 years, I have provided translation and interpretation services for various companies, including Japan Airline at Los Angeles airport, a Japanese bakery, an ophthalmologist office, a Japanese tour company, and most recently, a production company in Hawaii. In addition, I recently completed 40 hours of professional medical interpreter training by the Cross Cultural Health Care Program.
I was working as a Japanese language teacher as well as a translator for a local newspaper in Hawaii until I moved to California for my husband's job in April 2017.
My areas of expertise include medical, tourism, film production and literature.
