You will be proofreading a document that has already been translated from Japanese to English from a Native Speaker's point of view. It is not necessary to be able to understand Japanese. You will read the English text and check the words, grammar, and phrasing.

すでに日本語から英語へ翻訳された文書のNative Speakerの観点で、校正をしていただきます。日本語が理解できることは不要です。英文を読んでいただいて、単語、文法、言い回しをチェックいただきます。
