• To ensure proper phase transformation of carbon from “Amorphous to Crystalline” (Phase trans- formation is done by heating amorphous carbon to 3000°C in absence of air).
• Monitoring for the quality of products in various stages.
• Responsibility to ensure adequate properties, inspection and testing of raw material.
• Process parameters monitoring and process parameter improvement.
• To ensure achievement of Quality Parameter demanded by customer.
• Net Scrap calculation and action plan generation to minimize Net Scrap to minimum levels.
• Reduce dispersion and variations in finished properties by defining “Process Route” and optimizing it using Statistical Process Control tools.
• Design and perform Trials for improving productivity as well as quality.
• To implement the Run charts and Control charts on the shop floor.
• To control the Quality of different types of Electrodes and Nipples as per Standard Operating Procedures.
• To utilize the manpower effectively and efficiently for 100% inspection.
