The primary task of a System administrator is to monitor the access to this system and to the aforesaid client's records within CareFirst domain. It involves granting, amending or revoking access to the client's records for a specified time period and only to the qualified county personnel such as various social workers through the county's desktop and handheld devices. The role also requires establishing right level of profile for the county personnel on the system that determines their access rights and execution capabilities within the Care First system.

Concept Hospitality private limited, Mumbai City (India)

MIS executive

2005/01~ 2005/12

The Technical Director's office of this consulting firm offers its technical skills and expertise in hospitality industry to owners and board members of several luxury class hotels across Asia and Africa. The group's expertise is particularly sought for as an industry pioneer who could successfully blend environmentally sensitive business practices with the hospitality business operations and yet delivers profitable financial results. They achieve this through ingenious techniques coupled with technological advancements and innovations such that they could successfully weave business operations with sustainability, causing minimal environmental impact

As Management information professional, this role requires preparing and presenting with accurate, consolidated, summarised or ad-hock financial reports to the higher management of each business unit along with the Technical Director. A wide variety of reports and statements are being produced and used to facilitate the real-time business decision making such as - daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue reports, providing consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual profit and loss statements, budgeted vs. actual and actual vs. previous three year's (year-on-year) comparative analysis. These statements are presented for each of the sixteen business units that are monitored and managed by the group, the businesses are spread across different locations within India, Asia and Africa. I have to liaison with the finance teams or the General Managers of each property to collect and collate these authentic data points and present them in the prescribed report format. These data points essentially reflect upon the unit's operational performance and the corrective actions required

Hewlett Packard, Bangalore, Chennai (India)

Process administrator

2003/01~ 2004/10

I joined the firm at a juncture when the HP and Compaq merger is declared and post-merger global
back-office operations are centralised at these offices. For initial six months, I have worked as finance assistant at the Bangalore centre's accounts payable division. Primary task is to authorise business-critical supplier invoices for payment from company's cost-centre through an automated robot-driven system called SWAN. This is a complex, end-to-end processing system that entails several checks and balances to ensure that an error free payment is made to the vendor, preferably in a straight-through-processing fashion with minimal human interventions for each purchase requisition that is raised within the system in stipulated turnaround time. The process requires booking each of the payable entries from the original invoice's scanned image that is fed into this system and requires to be posted into the production database, i.e. the general-ledger of the company through this system into the SAP. This process bears a direct P&L impact for the firm. This is because a consolidated, system triggered final settlement to the vendor's bank account occurs on a designated due date of each month directly through SAP FICO module. The turnaround time is defined by the service level agreement Another assignment is with the HP Services centre at Chennai where SAP order management module requires data migration of business critical fields from legacy systems to the centralised SAP platform; a bolt-on - Globally Integrated System. This data is collected from each of the HP's support service contracts with its clientele into a central migratory database of SAP.
