I worked under a project entitled, “Mass propagation and pilot utilization of plumule-derived plantlets of tall and dwarf coconut varieties through Coconut Somatic Embryogenesis Technology (CSet) for Batangas and Quezon”, a 5-year DOST-PCAARRD funded project which aims to reinvigorate the coconut trees damaged by the coconut scale insect infestation and the trees damaged by the typhoon Glenda last 2014. My responsibilities include:
• Responsible for the application of PCA-ARC’s protocol for Coconut Embryogenesis Technology
• Prepares media and other needed materials
• Maintains and transfers coconut cultures
• Responsible for training new staff
• Collects data and prepares quarterly and annual reports needed for the project

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, I was responsible for:
• performing Microbial Analysis of incoming and outgoing finished good products
• Daily inspection of production areas in conformance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Generated Certificate of Analysis for outgoing goods
• Performed validation procedures and generates validation reports as per ISO standards
• Generated Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) and documents in conformance to ISO 13485:2012 (Quality Management Systems in Medical Devices)
