Behavior Change Communication Officer

2017/03~

Providing technical and programmatic oversight for all behavior change communication for Malaria program;
Plans, implements, monitors and reports on the activities specified in the BCC work plan, and guided by the DC;
Development of BCC messages and materials, and training/capacity building of local staff and counterparts, oversight of BCC activities by local staff and international consultants.
Conduct and manage all advocacy and BCC activities at district and community levels in collaboration with District Coordinator.
Compiling the BCC records and update data bases using DHIS-2, Assist in LLINs distribution at community/ANC levels, data entries and data management of all LLINs distributed in health facilities/ centers Completed 15000 LLINs data entries in soft and timely reported to District Coordinator
Conduct advocacy and BCC activities with CBO’s, LHW’s, Social Workers, religious leaders in line with the monthly and quarterly work plans;
Providing BCC related logistical support to all community based health centers (BHUs, CDs, RHCs, DHQ);
Carry out field visits to support BCC/ advocacy activities at facility and community levels
Providing regular feedback on Advocacy/ BCC events to coordinator on regular basis;
Ensuring that all BCC record gets entered into the LHWs/LHS diaries and ethnicity of CBO/LHW documents;
Carry out regular field visits to support and monitor BCC sessions in all target district;
Review the behavior change communication and community engagement strategies, knowledge base, information, IEC materials, practices and the gaps in BCC for malaria control and elimination in the region;
Providing expertise in social science methods for monitoring and evaluation of BCC, community mobilization and advocacy including specific components working with mobile populations and high risk populations.
