Respond to the requests of various departments
• Provide users with network technical support
• Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
• Provide support for work suites (editing, machine room etc)
• Investigate user problems, identifies their source, determines
possible solutions, tests and implements solutions
• Assist in developing in-house applications
• Recognize, analyze and rectify system failures
• Install and tests necessary software and hardware
• Install and upgrades security programs
• Upgrade network hardware and software components as
required
• Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose
common network problems.
• Perform hardware and software maintenance duties
• Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify
and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties
• Maintain backup of data systems
• Perform commissioning of control systems to ensure proper
operation
• Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and
operating procedures that optimize network availability
• Media Management for online / offline projects using Final
Cut Pro, Baselight, Backdraft, Smoke, Inferno and Flame
softwares and Adobe Suite softwares.
• Assist the operators of the online/offline/telecine suites in
their work
• Assist the producers wherever possible
• Have a good understanding of video and audio levels
• Archive and manage projects on the discreet equipment
Digitize rushes when required
• Manage the company's FTP sites
• Be able to encode to different non-linear video formats using
the tools available
• Have a good knowledge of what is an acceptable level of
level of quality for work produced by.
• Have a good knowledge of recording and playing back from
different format
• Be able to make airing copies to different specifications
• Have a good knowledge of different non-linear video formats
• Responsible for all the materials played into and out of a
suite
• Manage the free space on the company's various video
servers
• Maintain an accurate record of all bookings on timeline
