Acting Director, Procurement

2014/10~ 2018/08

Presently, Dandikko is the Acting Director, Procurement, Federal College of Education, Katsina, in Katsina State. I provide strategic advice and facilitation of procurement activities for works, goods, consultancy and services supporting value for money procurement. Similarly, I also provide advice to stakeholders on strategic plan and knowledge sharing. My responsibilities include: Facilitating improved governance, resource management and service delivery, maintaining relationships with government counterparts and stakeholders; Liaising with other MDAs that previously/currently enjoyed TETFund Intervention, grants from the Federal, State Government and other donor agencies as required. Working with TPD group- a UKaid initiative to enhance the capacity of headteachers and teachers to deliver quality learning to pupils in Katsina State.

He served as an accountant in the same institution and held many positions ranging from head of final accounts, head budget, revenue and funds management which led him to rise to the rank of chief accountant.

Previously, I worked for Kebbi State College of basic and Advanced Studies (COBAS), another academic institution based in Yelwa Yauri dedicated to ensuring and enhancing capabilities of less capable students through effective coaching and fresher course to enable them catch up with their colleagues in getting admission to universities and other equivalent institutions of higher learning. Dandikko advises the Director, Consultancy in program planning & design and implementation of coordinated courses offered at diploma level. Dandikko supports several Community Based Organizations through capacity building and training to enhance their skills in creating enabling environment for access to effective public governance and service delivery.

Prior to joining COBAS, Dandikko was a Master Grade II teacher with Government Girls Arabic Secondary School, Gusau in Zamfara State. I taught the students Mathematics and engaged in development of teacher student related subject to make the students feel more friendly in learning of mathematics as a subject. I initiated developed learning programs/ platforms several programs which enhanced female students’ perception of higher learning as tool for self reliance as against the early marriage.

Dandikko had also worked as a Manager at Nasiha Medical Complex. In that capacity, Dandikko plan, design and implement supply and distribution of drugs to minor whole sellers and retailers.

I also manage the human resource aspect of the organization by ensuring service delivery by the employees and promoting good relationship with vendors to make sure that their loyalty is retained and maintained.
