Alleviating poverty in the rural areas of Albania and trying to make as farmers self-sustainable by following the Heifer principle-Passing on the gift. From the financial framework the finance department was responsible for ensuring the entity’s finance systems and processes are effective, up to date and operate in line with the local legislation and the requirements of the external bodies (Headquarters, Donors etc.). Project success was measured in a three years base from the Headquarters .Financial internal audits were held every year and programmes internal audits were once in three-years.
• Maintained accounting system of Heifer International local office in accordance with the accounting standards of the local country

SOS CHILDREN'S VILLAGES ALBANIA

Family Strengthening Programme was a new concept enabling poor families to raise their children by fulfilling basic needs until the age of 18th years old. SOS Villages, SOS Kindergarten, SOS School and other FSP units were part of a long term SOS Children’s Villages Project of more than 20 years in Albania.
With a staff of more than 120 people working in Albania Office the project main feature was to ensure that each child in need would have a caring parent. Every year more than 400 hundred children were being supported directly (from SOS mothers and Youth Houses) or indirectly (FSP units) from the SOS Children’s Villages Albania Office.
• Prepared entries in Microsoft DynamicNavision for all SOS facilities and National office.
• Maintained the accounting system by keeping the National Office cash and income book cheque & Bank book, fuel coupons books.
• Maintained the accounting system by keeping the Family Strengthening Program, cheque & Bank book, by registering accurately and chronologically all the daily financial transactions effected, by preparing the Bank warrant and payment related
• Reporting on a monthly base for the performance of the project
• Compiled (within 5th) the financial documentation from the facilities on a monthly basis.
Assisted, as reqired the National Association staff, by ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures, by maintaining the inventory list containing all capital goods by quantity and values for the NO.
