Job Profile : (Job Responsibilities and Description)

 Provide administrative, operational, maintenance, and management services for the Surveillance Detection Team, US Mission, Dhaka. That is manage, administrate and operate a strong & highly sensitive unit of US Embassy’s security department independently and smoothly.
 Responsible for preparing strong management & operational plan, area analysis report, scheduling, preparing reports, keeping records, and other administrative duties as assigned.
 Organize proper training and refreshment training for the entire Surveillance Detection Unit to brush up their strengthen against hostile/terrorist group.
 Ensure the unit personnel are working in order with following chain of command and providing output accurately. Make sure the operational plan are updating with a single change in/around the area by team work.
 Ensure the unit personnel reward for good work and take disciplinary action for wrong task.
 Maintain good relationship with other law enforcement agencies- Special Branch Police, APBN police, DMP police including others.
 Brief & Advise the Special Branch Police Sub-Inspector provided by Bangladesh Government to cooperate questioning & corroborating the suspicious person or event or anything to keep safe the environment and surrounding area from any type of incident.
 Ensure safety and security all Americans & local employees working here in US Embassy, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
 Ensure denying the pre-attack hostile surveillance at US Embassy and the diplomatic area by any hostile group (like Al Queda, JMB, etc).
 Responsible for the timely and accurate data entry and to ensure reports are provided in a timely fashion to the Assistant Regional Security Officer (ARSO) and Regional Security Officer (RSO).
 Responsible to conduct, and report in a timely manner, route and operational security analysis. Investigate complaints against SD personnel at the direction of Assistant Regional Security Officer (ARSO) and Regional Security Officer (RSO), and supervise operational security (OPSEC) to ensure the protection of the information produced by the Surveillance Detection Team (SDT).
 Conduct liaison with the police at the field-level under the direction of Assistant Regional Officer (ARSO) and Regional Security Officer (RSO) to ensure effective response to Surveillance (SD) security requirements.
 Identify visible vulnerabilities to ARSO or RSO. Assist with ARSO to arrange training for Surveillance Detection (SD) personnel. Constantly monitor the operating environment to ensure the safety and security of the team members.
 Perform other duties as directed by the Regional Security office.
 Prepare the evaluation reports of all sub-ordinates (Surveillance Detection Analyst (SD Analyst), Surveillance Detection Specialist Supervisors/Team Leaders (SDSS) & Surveillance Detection Specialists (SDS) yearly for regular and probationary for new employees and submit the reports to the Human Resources Office to maintain the grading policy of employee on yearly basis.
 Supervise the Surveillance Detection Analyst (SD Analyst) to accelerate the analytical part of SD Team for providing the accurate and minute policy of operation. Regularly monitor the Security Incident Management Analysis System (SIMAS) based on Washington and locally developed archive & database. Advice & correction if any changes or updated on the mentioned databases informing the higher authority.
 Brief and debrief subordinates on a certain date of a week.
 Establish standing-order plan, after dissecting existing problems, and disseminate the news of updated policy among subordinates.
 Provide class-room and on-the-job training to new incumbents.
