1. Field District Officer, UNFPA Bangladesh
Programme Management and Coordination: Ensure annual and quarterly work plan and programme delivery in the field and in project location. Assist implementing partners in planning, designing budgeting and in implementation of bilateral projects with government including DGFP, DGHS, DWAO, MOHA and other NGO IPs in Cox’s Bazar; Coordinate with IPs as well as other stakeholders in district(s) under the assigned Field Office for facilitating local level planning (LLP) process and, implementation. Collaborates with WHO, UNICEF, UNHCR as relevant which include ensuring proper utilization of the funds in implementing the programme.
Technical Assistance: Identify capacity development needs and provide technical assistance to Civil Surgeon, Deputy Director-Family Planning, Superintendent of Sadar Hospital, Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner and NGO Implementing Partners to improve Maternal & Neonatal Health and Family Planning service delivery and to prevent HIV/AIDS/STIs in the district as well as in the refugee camp. Assist District Women Affairs Officer and, Police Super in promoting women’s empowerment; prevention of VAWG, GBV, child marriage; and in response to GBV survivors with support from UNFPA country office and project offices technical team at DGFP, DGHS, DWA and MOHA.. Planning, designing, organizing and facilitate capacity strengthening events, i.e., orientation, workshop, training etc.
Advocacy: Identify evidence based advocacy issues, document and share appropriately align with UNFPA country programme strategy and govt. plan of action. Maintain close liaison with Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Civil Surgeon and DDFP, MNH Committee Members, district and Upazila level health and family planning personnel, govt. other counter parts and NGO partners.
Monitoring: Undertake regular field visits to monitor and evaluate RH and Gender component programmes and local conditions. Participate in periodic programme reviews with government counterparts and other partners. Analyze programme status and recommend appropriate adjustments. Collect data, information and lessons learned based on result based monitoring framework and report quarterly and annually.
Emergency Preparedness & Response: As a Master Trainer and Lead Facilitator - plan, design, budgeting, organize and conduct “MISP (Minimum Initial Service Package)”TOT and Training for ensuring Sexual Reproductive Health and SGBV response in crises. Need Assessment as part of Emergency Preparedness Plan in the district.
