I successfully developed and implemented the project’s Knowledge Management, communications and advocacy strategy for the SDC local governance programme in association with the team members, developed participatory Knowledge sharing plan within and outside of the organization, represented programme’s success stories among the development partners such as HLP, LOGIN, SDC GENGOV Platform for advocacy. One of my remarkable role where I succeeded was to develop an online database of the 207 Union Parishads where they had the access into the latest circulars and notices from the LGD of ministry of Local Governments. It contained also the profile and operational calendar for the UPs and their good practices as well. I also organized the local and national events, worked closely with the GoB’s LGD, NILG and development partners for establishing a policy enabling environment based on the achieved good practices, identified and validated good practices in association with the government for replication purposes. I built strong partnership with the local government with the replication mechanism while organizing national, international seminars and outreach events for sharing lessons learned. In addition to my innovation and program work, I drafted Annual gender report as the gender focal point, wrote progress reports and designed and developed marketing tools and promotional documents for the programme’s visibility including managing website. I represented the project nationally and globally and developed, compiled good cases for local platform journals (HLP) and international publication like DLGN and SDC’s LOGIN.

I drafted monitoring reports, success stories, work plan and strategies, and press release of the BBC Bangladesh program; monitored, coordinated and managed other media partners, relevant government officials for the program. I organized and managed outreach event and ensure resourceful and dynamic website for the better visibility of the work in consultation of the Web team. I regularly developed news brief with relevant photos and uploaded video in the website and occasionally managing expatriate trainers’ need for their language assistances.

I was responsible to writing draft progress/annual reports, success stories, work plan and strategies, and press release. In addition to that I had to plan and implement for monitoring, coordination and managing partner NGOs, data delivery efforts, coordinate with the Government officials. I developed few training materials and kept the training schedule on the track. I also contributed to develop a new project proposal for bidding with the USAID. I prepared newsletter, managed communications and knowledge sharing efforts with website, intra/extranet and USAID Trainet.

In addition to the regular communication work, I successfully managed to procure local organization for organizing and managing outreach events, extended Analytical and technical support to the Effective Development Cooperation portfolio and to USAID ICEA’s work on Transparency at the country level and successfully developed success profile and presented in international events. I have been successful in managing and influencing energy regulatory commission to decline the unethical demand of the power distributors to raise price involving expert energy lawyers and Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) it is a successful token of advocacy. I ensured the maintenance of increased coverage and understanding of the USAID ICEA’s work through regular media and development professional contacts.

I was responsible for planning and implementing a variety of fundraising strategies to secure financial support for Water and Sanitation project in the Southern belt of Bangladesh. I supported largely the fundraising programs for the resources mobilization unit by developing acquisition programs to cultivate and solicit potential donors as well as recognize and retain current contributors.
