Data Center Engineer Services & Ops

Act as a Data Center Engineer-Sevices & Ops to lead Data Center 24x7 Operations and Data Center Facility Management (w.r.t. IT, Space, Power & Cooling infrastructure) and working on Installation, Commissioning and Facilities Maintenance of Extra Low Voltage and Electrical Systems in Data Center.
• Conduct daily routine checks to ensure the system’s availability and oversee the 24x7 operations of MPPL Datacenter.
• Generate customized monthly customer reports by utilizing managed Data Center tools specifically APC-DCIM Struxureware.
• Responsible for installation commissioning of Rectifiers, Invertors, UPS, Generators, Transformers, Distribution Boards, Fire Suppression System (FM200), CCTV, Access Control System, CATV, Routers(Cisco,Juniper), and EMS
• Supervising all DC Facility support systems including Fire Suppression Systems, Access Control System, VESDA, UPS, Gensets, and CRAHs.
• Manages all local customer installations, in coordination with Sales Engineering, Design & Construction and Colocation Operations to coordinate customer move-ins and turn-ups, including deployments, power circuit installations and connectivity requirements.
• Designing, Planning & Optimizing of Data Centers according to TIA-942 standards.
• Designing and Planning of AC/DC power systems.
• Designing and installation of data, power, and fiber optic cabling projects within the data center environment and ensuring cable standards and as-built drawings are maintained.
• Designing and planning facility infrastructure and systems of new and upcoming Data Center Projects.
• Plan and manage all backup plans and Disaster Recovery in cooperation with Managers to meet various SLA requirements.
• Supervising PMs for DC equipment and aligning contractors & vendors for PMs, faults & emergency queries.
• Develop robust reporting and escalation procedures and policies between NOC and Services teams in order to minimize downtime of all data center elements.
• Coordinate with NOC Team to ensure the proper monitoring and ticketing systems are in place to meet availability, clients.
• Creating & updating Data Center Layouts in MS Visio/AutoCAD and providing Data Center solutions for betterment.
• Monitor and control data center running operational costs to meet budget requirements.
• Manage the NOC team roster, conducting interviews for new hiring and provide training to new staff.
• Coordinate with Head of Commercials Data Center infrastructure for capacity planning.
• Writes and reviews Data Center related technical/non-technical documents like SOPs,RFOs, COA,s and CCF,s.
• Responsible for cost analysis, budget planning including utilization & planning for CAPEX & OPEX.
