abstract

Sago caterpillar (Rhynchoporus ferrugineus ) is a food and for local communities in Papua is rich in protein and essential amino acids that are useful for the growth and maintenance of body tissues. Sago caterpillar is the larva of the red palm beetle. Sago processed into papeda eaten together with sago that has been roasted without fear of excess cholesterol, because in addition to rich in protein and amino acids caterpillar is also free of cholesterol even when in roast will remove the oil.
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a collection of symptoms that caused by a virus (Human Immuno Deficiency Virus) is a contagious and deadly. This ongoing research take 25-49 blood sample of papua’s HIV patients. This virus damages the human immune system, resulting in the corresponding loss of his endurance, so easily infected and died of complications of various diseases.
Nutritional status of people living with HIV / AIDS is strongly influenced by the needs and nutrient intake. Intake of nutrients that do not meet the requirements due to HIV infection will lead to malnutrition which is multifactorial, among others due to loss of appetite, impaired absorption of food juices in the digestive tract, fluid loss due to vomiting and diarrhea, impaired metabolisme nutrients, and opportunistic infections other concomitant diseases HIV / AIDS.
Common Methode: Analysis Extract Capsules Ingredients Silkworm Sago, Protein Content Test, Fat Content Test, Abu levels, Capsule manufacture Caterpillars Sago, blood analysis CD4 levels.
Result research : The dominant amino acids from extraction are Phenilalanin (0.0483 ppm) and Tryptofan (0.0407 ppm). And also as new protein design of drug moleculer. The dominant fatty acid from extraction is omega 9 (143.91 Mg/g).
