Simeon Ogonda is the founder at Millennial Legacy Investments (Legacy), a consultancy firm developing the business potential of its clients through a platform business model. His work is driven by the need for social progress of communities through the positive power of business. The consultancy is currently handling 7 clients whose needs are as diverse as the needs of start-up companies and as particular as the needs of organizations at growth level. He is also currently working with Youth Alive Kenya to implement the Decent Work and Labor Rights Program (Jipe Job Poa) in East Africa, targeting 3200 young people for employment by December 2019.
He is an alumnus of American Express Leadership Academy and the Community Solutions Program, the 2016 American Express Leadership Academy Non-profit Leader of the Year, and a Board member CSP Alumni. He is a Commonwealth Scholar pursuing an MA in Education and International Development at University College London, holds a BA in Arts from Maseno University, and university credits in Transparency and Accountability from George Mason University.
His work has been featured in various local and international media such as Kenya’s Daily Nation, Forbes Magazine, the Guardian, Huffington Post, and the B Team’s series on responsible business. His work forms part of an alternative view of environmental education as presented in the “Worldwatch Institute” journal titled “Rethinking Education on a changing planet”.
