Professional Experience
Hello, my name is Marcello Sarmento and I'm a visual designer. I've been working with communication for over 13 years in ad agencies and design studios designing advertisements, logos, print designs, UI/UX for websites, packaging, magazines, brochures, and signage. I've won a regional advertising award (Central do Outdoor) a few years ago but for me, my most important achievement was the sale of a poster artwork, designed to aid the victims of the 2011 earthquake/tsunami and where all the money raised by the sale was donated to the Japanese Red Cross. Recently I've been working with a couple of NGOs in Brazil, aiding victims of motorboat accidents in the Amazon rivers and with an Aquatic Mammals study group. I'm also experienced in working with partners overseas in countries such as Canada, Germany, Portugal, United States, and Japan.
