My name is Bernard Chan, and I am currently a graduate student in the Department of Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada. My research interests include multicultural education, sociology of education, and higher education marketing. I am fluent in four languages: English, Japanese, Cantonese, and Mandarin Chinese, and I am capable in translation, copy-editing, and writing tasks. From my previous career in higher education marketing, I am also skilled in public relations, marketing, and the creation of web- and print-based publicity materials and content.
