Hi, I'm Laura, a freelance translator from Manila, Philippines.
I am fluent in English, Japanese and Filipino, and have a wide range of experience and expertise in translation grounded on my freelance and full-time professional history.
As a freelancer, I am well-versed in translating government issued documents, employment documents, business correspondences, content related to software (e.g. sales and development material) and company website content.
During my previous employment at a Japanese trading company, I translated technical documents such as product manuals and presentations. I am also familiar with terminology related to import and export. Additionally, I also have experience translating equity research for a global financial services firm.
I graduated with honors from the University of the Philippines Diliman, the premier state university in the Philippines with a degree in BA Linguistics. I studied as an exchange student for 1 year at 津田塾大学 in Tokyo, Japan.
