Mixkaela Villalon is a multi-award winning writer of short stories, theatrical plays, essays, video games, and screenplays. Her work has been published in several literary anthologies. She is a contributing feature writer for Grid travel magazine and Clavel magazine for Street wear and Urban Lifestyle.

Her plays have been staged in the Philippines and in the hotINK Theater Festival of the TISCH Performing Art School of New York University in New York, USA. Some of her TV and writing credits include the short animated film Kwentong Makulay ("A Colorful Story") which was nominated in the DigiCon Animation and Movie Awards in Japan, the documentary Beastmode: A Social Experiment which was supported by the Tribeca Film Festival and the Luang Prabang Film Festival, and the Star Cinema produced zombie film Block Z.
