I made the decision to move to Japan for study to eventually become a competent worker in this country once my Japanese reaches a desirable level. As I study, I hope to contribute to society by bringing the skills I have attained while living in my home country and applying them to this job. Working as a barista at a busy local café developed proper hospitality skills that are quite valuable in many jobs. I am highly competent using computers, being quite adept with a wide range of applications. Completing an Honours year for my bachelor’s degree equipped me with the ability to work efficiently by myself, as I was required to organise my time to prepare and complete a thesis within a year. This means I am able to effectively organise myself.
