As an experienced translator and interpreter, I have worked for several agencies and have gained considerable professional experience in written translation and interpretation (consecutive and simultaneous).
I have BA in English language and literature, and have mastery of both Arabic as my second language, and Kurdish (Sorani) as mother tongue.
I have worked for more than 10 years as editor and copy editor in the field of journalism with professional and independent news agencies where I have mainly depended on my language skills, translating and editing reports and features in English, Arabic, and Kurdish.
I have also translated and published works of literature.
My other skills include managing communications, writing press releases, reporting, presentation, and data evaluation and analysis. Furthermore, I have the ability to work under pressure, head or work as a part of a team and am quite comfortable with technology and social media.
