Director of Research & Studies in the Libyan National Meteorological Center. He supervises and contributes to different research and studies activities undertaken in the LNMC. He also participates on (and sometimes organizes) local workshops and conferences. His research interests are in weather extremes and climate events to which he served as a WMO co-Rapporteur on World Weather and Climate Extreme Records. Climate data analysis and understanding the relationship between climate variability, such as the NAO, ENSO, MO with variations of climatic parameters, especially rainfall and temperature lies down on his research domain.
