19th to 26th April 2017 I worked as a short-term research assistant with Interchurch Medical Assistance (IMA) World Health on the baseline assessment of the community component of the aids free project in Nairobi, Kenya. Scope of work involved carrying out qualitative research by conducting in-depth interviews (IDIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs) with religious leaders, community youth groups and facility clinical officer.
January 5, 2016 – June 31, 2016, I worked at Kenya Forestry Research Institute under Human Resources Management Department as an intern. My responsibilities were to assist the senior HR manager with office administration and other duties assigned. My responsibilities included maintaining drafts, formats and printing relevant documents; maintaining accurate records for employees’ holiday requests and grants; attending to visitors that wished to see the senior manager; handle employee expense lists, and billing cycles, and arranging interdepartmental meetings.
