Peter Ackerman has stayed at the cutting edge of child development and teaching, sharing his expertise in the field through his roles as Pre-K, Kindergarten, E.S.L. teacher, coordinator, authorized supervisor, and as a director. He has also worked as a specialist preschool mathematics teacher.
Early in his career he embraced the philosophies and practices of the internationally acclaimed schools of Reggio Emilia in Northern Italy which have been a source of inspiration in his exploration into ways of enabling children to realize their full potential.
Peter also has a special interest in curriculum development; teacher education and children's rights.
