After several assignments in Japan (5 times in 1 month durations) I have been assigned for 1 year in Japan as a bridge engineer for the Philippine company.
Interacted with Japanese counterparts, learned their processes and customs and relayed requirements and solutions to different project issues and concerns.

I am responsible for the following technical aspects of the project:

- determine staffing requirements
hire and train new staff
- supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy
- monitor and assist staff with work progress
- allocate use of available resources
- evaluate current business processes and systems
- plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
- formulate department/unit policies and practices
- facilitate the preparation and analysis of reports
- review performance data to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels
- responsible for the achievement of my section's productivity and quality goals
- organize and manage business meetings

Aside from the technical aspects of the project, I am also responsible for staff care particularly for the following:

- set employee goals and objectives
- develop staff to maximize potential
- monitor staff performance including performance reviews
- delegate work duties to staff
- conduct non-project related activities for bonding and improvement
of mental health
