My clients were Korean students from junior high to college, which meant I had to deal with varying degrees of teenage angst and excitement as well as different levels of fluency in the English language. I read, graded and made comments about their work, while taking into consideration their ages and possible reactions. Communicating my concerns regarding their writing took more work than reading and editing -- it was fun, challenging, frustrating but fulfilling.

I am a published author/writer of Filipino (English and Tagalog, plus certain local dialects and foreign languages when necessary) romance for Bookware Publishing, Incorporated. I enjoy the it because we try not to focus on fluff and mush, but make sure certain (sociopolitical, psychological, etc) issues are also addressed, as well as creating (and trying to influence with) smart, empowered characters.

This work included writing and editing graduate papers of students from a few state universities, I also did reports and infographics. This was challenging because It's like a refresher in Constitutional Law and Industrial Psychology, but also enriching and fulfilling.
